The Nautilus Machina.

This artefact was discovered by a Wilhelm König in a small  antique shop in Caïro in the 1940s.

Despite its strange appearance it was  already classified by a museum or university as "Nautilus Machina".

Later the object was probably stolen and sold on the black market and that is how it ended up in the hands of Wilhelm König.
